When you or a family member take the brave step to call our Initial Contact Team they will ask you a few questions, this is what we call a referral. It helps us to understand how you’re feeling and to make sure we offer the right support for you at the right time.
Sometimes Visyon may not be the right place so we will suggest other services that can help you, we will never just turn you away!
If Visyon can offer the right support for you, we will talk you through our services. We will also make an appointment for either an Open Access or Assessment session where you will meet one of our team, face to face, within 10 days. These sessions are to ask a few more questions about how you are feeling, how you would like to be supported and what the next steps will be. You could be offered one of the following services…
one to one counselling
Visyon offers personalised one to one counselling to help you overcome and understand the emotions you are feeling. If you are aged between 11-19, you will get your own counsellor for an hour a week for up to 12 weeks.
mentoring
Meet with a mentor to identify new experiences, reignite old interests and develop the skills to achieve your goals. So, if you're 11-19 why don't you come and try it?
